About Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata is a common cuase of patchy baldness on the scalp or other parts of the body.  These patches are completely smooth and not related to ageing. The disorder is “autoimmune” in nature and, if widespread, can be difficult to treat.  It affects as many as 6.8 million people in the US.

You or someone you know with Alopecia Areata may qualify for an FDA-registered clinical trial of a novel investigational drug from a major pharmaceutical company.

  • All study volunteers are given written informed consent

  • Patient volunteers are never charged a fee for participating in or medications used in any of our clinical trials

  • Clinical study volunteers receive compensation for their time and travel

  • All clinical trials are reviewed and approved by licensed Investigational Review Boards for ethics and patient safety

  Requirements For Participation

Ages (Males)18 – 60 yrs.
Ages (Females)18-70 yrs.
Severityhair loss encompassing at least 50% of the scalp within the last 8 years
Visits18 visits over 104 weeks
